From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
At the outbreak of the Rwandan genocide in 1994, VĂ©nuste Karasira, his wife, Speciose, their children, and fellow Tutsis fled from Hutu gangs to what they thought was the safety of the UN base in Kigali. However, when the soldiers decamped they were left at the mercy of Hutu killers. He and David Belton both helped with the movie Shooting Dogs, which depicted the Rwandan Genocide.
