Vennanthur is a panchayat town in Namakkal district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

As of 2001 India census[1], Vennanthur had a population of 13,475. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Vennanthur has an average literacy rate of 59%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 69%, and female literacy is 49%. In Vennanthur, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
