Venezuelan Canadians are Canadians of Venezuelan ancestry or birth.
Venezuelans are only one of over 10 Latino groups in Canada. Despite the first Venezuelan immigrants came to Canada in the 1960s, more than half of them arrived after the 2002 Venezuelan worker's strike. The biggest Venezuelan community (2,600 aprox) reside in Montreal. In recent years, a growing community of Venezuelans have been developing in Calgary (more than 150 families)[2] and Edmonton in which almost all of them work for the Oil industry. Smaller communities are found in Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver.
