Vendel is located at 38 km in the North-East of Rennes and at 45 km in the south of the Mont Saint-Michel.
The communes bordering are La Chapelle-Saint-Aubert, Billé, Saint-Georges-de-Chesné and Saint-Jean-sur-Couesnon.
