[edit] Apostrophe

What is that apostrophe doing there? Piet | Talk 09:11, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

It seems to be a substitute for an "i".Struman 11:54, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
Hm that makes sense. It hurts my eyes though, I've never seen that. But then, I donna speaka Italiano. Piet | Talk 13:10, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
Think of Catherine de' Medici.--Wetman 06:28, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Metropolitan's Aphrodite

I hope this exact replica can stay here for comparison and not be sliced away to make a less meaningful stub on its own. Not every marble chip from Antiquity is fully understandable in isolation. --Wetman 06:28, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Lost?

I'm having trouble understanding something. Is this statue lost? This article doesn't mention it's current location, but doesn't say it's lost. It also doesn't seem to include a photo, suggesting the drawings is all there is. Could this article be clarified? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.212.17.191 (talk) 15:34, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
