Many fashions were produced for Velvet and her same-size friends the Mia Doll and the Dina Doll could wear all Velvet’s fashions.
Velvet was released in white and black versions from 1970 to 1974 and then reissued in 1981. Velvet’s first white issue in 1970 came attired in a sleeveless purple mini dress with a white ribbon sash and purple T-Strap shoes; the black version of the doll came attired in a lavender mini dress with a white ribbon sash with purple shoes. The white Velvet Doll had blonde hair and lavender sleep eyes, while the black Velvet version had black hair and black sleep eyes.
