Veluwana college Dematagoda is established in May 1, 1952, by the Buddhist Society led by Veluwanarama temple. It is one of oldest Buddhist schools. Veluwana College is a National School. It provides primary and secondary education.Colombo.

Today Veluwana College is home for about 3500 students and guided by about 200 dedicated staff,led by principal Mr. Tiranagama. Veluwana College has been in the forefront of the the Sri Lankan national schools and considered to be one of best outstation schools in the country. The school frequently produce large number of higher ranking students to Sri Lankan universities. Veluwana College Official Web Site was founded in 2006 as a result of Veluwana Web Project along with the Veluwana Web Team 2003.
