Velfjord

Velfjord is a former municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The administrative centre was Hommelstø.
It was created by a split from Brønnøy on 1 October 1875. The new municipality had a population of 1,162.
On 1 January 1964 Velfjord was reunited with the enlarged Brønnøy municipality. Prior to the merger Velfjord had a population of 1.380.
