[edit] Re: Repair Botany

Huh, that's strange. There have been some issues with the database servers, in the past few days. I've purged the server-side page cache; you may need to perform a forced reload in order to bypass your browser's cache (shift or control plus reload, in most browsers). You can also try to view the page in another web browser, to see if that might be causing any sort of problem. Let me know if it's working; if not, I'll see if there's anything else I can do. [edit] DUNDERHEADS

DUNDERHEADS (Velocicator) My pet peeve is the practice of DUNDERHEADS who erase other peoples' comments from talk pages. There has been an increase in that practice lately as the number of DUNDERHEADS who are active in Wikipedia has increased significantly. Velocicaptor 03:22, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Drip-O-lator

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Drip-O-lator, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. -- Y not? 15:32, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:NIEdot293.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:NIEdot293.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 01:09, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Images!

Hi! Great job with all the PD images you've been uploading. It's really quite valuable. Would you mind also uploading them to our free-image repository, Wikicommons? Wikipedia isn't really for galleries of images and I fear someone will insist that it be removed! ---J.S (T/C/WRE) 18:27, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:PortecRPIncG.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:PortecRPIncG.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:42, 29 June 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 15:42, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Crows Nest

Please provide trhe reference to the source of this fact. An article about this constoversy would be interesting. `'Míkka 19:05, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

The statement was deleted because it was missing any reference (I warned you because I expected this will happen). The main difficulty with wikipedia is that because anyone can edit, the only way to distinguish information from joke is to provide references, especially about statements that look unusual. Can you remember where you read it? Unfortunately, I am not an expert in history and I cannot help you much. `'Míkka 15:11, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Do not install idiotic materials onto MY talk page

This page is for MY contacts. Find something else to do with your time. Or, get lost. Velocicaptor 12:50, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

I again suggest you read WP:USER because from the statment above you clearly misunderstand exactly what your user talkpage is. You are absolutely free to remove this comment read or unread as you see fit, but suggesting that other editors should not leave comments here or remove policy violations is not realistic. As I said before, you do not own your userspace here no matter how many times you refer to it as " MY page".--Isotope23 talk 13:35, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] This page

You do not own this talk page and you do not control the content. This page is for other users to contact you. You have been on Wikipedia for more than a year, and you should know these policies and procedures by now. If you continue to blank content from this page, your editing priveleges may be revoked.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 21:16, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Because you did exactly what I told you not to do, I have blocked this account indefinitely. Until you agree to change your attitude with this talk page, you will remain blocked. If you persist in abusing this talk page by removing more content from it, I will be forced to protect it from editting by you.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 21:45, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] This page's protection

Hello Velocicaptor. As you probably already know, I've protected this page because you need to realize that you own no articles on wikipedia. The heading 2 comments above is clear proof that you need to learn it, and in this case, you are learning it the hard way. Once you have proven that you know you do not own this page, someone will unprotect it. « ANIMUM » 22:07, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

  • You have now been blocked indefinitely from editing. You have recourse to unblock by email, as this page has now been protected. Send an email to "unblock-en-l@lists.wikimedia.org", stating your case and it will be reviewed - Alison 22:13, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] To request unblocking

If you would like to be unblocked, you must e-mail either myself, another administrator, or the unblock mailing list with a statement that shows that you realize why you were blocked and why this page was protected from your editting during the period in which you were blocked.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 22:15, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Page unprotected

I've unprotected your talk page. WP:AGF and all that. Feel free to make an {{unblock}} request but try to be civil here - Alison 17:57, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sockpuppetry case

You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Velocicaptor for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. -- Folic_Acid | talk  15:27, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Portec Rail Products

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Portec Rail Products, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
