How did tarnovo get veliko when this is serbo-croatian, not bulgarian?
- What are you talking about? Malko Tarnovo is a separate town far away from Veliko Tarnovo, in Strandzha, and has little to do with Veliko Tarnovo except the name. Also, 'veliko' is absolutely standard Bulgarian, the neuter form of velik, 'great'. The same word exists in Serbo-Croatian (meaning also 'big' and not only 'great'), of course, but you kind of expect that when talking about South Slavic languages. Could you please explain your question so I could be more detailed about the answer? What exactly bother is you with the name? → Тодор Божинов / Todor Bozhinov → 16:26, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
