[edit] Article Created

Split off the article from the main one. Shrumster 21:33, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Phew. Done with the text revisions. Now to find some fair-use pics. Shrumster 20:23, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] References

Currently in the process of fixing the references and citations. Shrumster 07:34, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

Added more references. I'm working with a White Dwarf index, so I don't know who wrote most of the articles. If anyone has the actual magazines, please fill in the article's writers in the appropriate footnote entries. Shrumster 20:13, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

Proud to say, the article is now satisfactorily and fully referenced! Shrumster 18:57, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Very Nicely Done

The article looks great! Excellent job cleaning and citing! --Falcorian (talk) 16:15, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks! :) Shrumster 18:18, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Landing Craft

The article mentions landing craft were only seen in Epic. It seems to me (warhammer newb) that the landing craft is also used to drop off the command centre and delivers tanks to respective producing buildings in the WH40K: Dawn of War games. Admittedly, I'm too lazy to reboot to windows to check. :) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by CjDMaX (talk • contribs) 23:51, 5 May 2007 (UTC).

I'm pretty certain that In DoW it is a thunderhawn and no a landing craft that drops off the command centre and vehicles Cmdr Adeon 21:27, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Yep, the ones in DoW look like Thunderhawk Transporters. Shrumster 05:14, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
Here are the two ships:

The Dawn of War game ship only has two sets of cargo gears, not three, so it is the Thunderhawk. It also has the top cannon, which the transport does not. Not like there is a big difference. Note, the model of the Thunderhawk is the gunship variant, so that means that there are far more guns added. The standard just has smaller guns and the main cannon on the top. Width is also a distinguishing characteristic. I hope this helps. SanchiTachi 05:27, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thunderhawk Transport Capacity

The article states that the thunderhawk can carry 30 marines. However in epic it can carry 8 stands which would be equivilent to 40 marines. Is 30 marines the value given in IA2? Cmdr Adeon 21:26, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Yep, 30 marines or 15 terminators in IAV2. Shrumster 05:13, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Space Marine Landing Craft.gif

Image:Space Marine Landing Craft.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Pictures wanted?

The Vassal 40k Module has top pictures of nearly every 40k vehicle (and unit). Should they be incooperted in articles like this? (The right top down sprite next to each vehicle). --Dark Scipio (talk) 11:25, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
