Hello, I'm VegaDark. I joined Wikipedia on December 13th, 2005 after finding how useful it was for getting information I needed for a project, and have been editing ever since. I am currently a law student in Florida, and as such have had very limited free time to devote to editing. Now that the brutal first term is over, however, I should be able to get more editing time in.

Vandalism thoughts

I regularly monitor the recent changes with Vandal Fighter. I always warn after reverting vandalism (unless the vandal is already blocked, or if someone warns before me for vandalism I reverted), and expect other users to do the same when they revert vandalism. If everyone did this, I believe the amount of vandalism would be cut in half due to sooner blocks and vandals realizing they can't get away with it, which they do each time they are not warned. I will generally go through the test1-4 process, unless the user has been warned before or is obviously a blocked vandal who just switched IP's, in which case I will be much less lenient.

Contact

In addition to using my talk page, I can occasionally be found on the Wikipedia IRC channel.
