Vedran Runje (born 10 February 1976 in Sinj), is a Croatian football goalkeeper who currently plays for RC Lens.
Vedran Runje began his career at Hajduk Split back in 1996. Between 1998 and 2001 he played for Standard de Liège before he went to Olympique de Marseille. In France, he had two great years, but during the third season he lost his place to Fabien Barthez and returned to Belgium to play for Standard de Liège, again. Vedran Runje had won the best goalkeeper in Belgium award three times (in the 1998-1999, 2000-2001, and 2005-2006 seasons), before coming to Turkey to play for Beşiktaş J.K. in 2006. In 2007 he left Beşiktaş to join RC Lens.
Runje is married to his first love Tihana she is also known as the Victoria Beckham of Croatia , together they have a son Roko. Vedran's little brother is also a professional goalkeeper and played for Hajduk Split & AA Gent.
On November 15th 2006, he made his debut for the Croatian national football team against Israel. Croatia won 4-3.
