Ved Prakash Goyal

Ved Prakash Goyal is an Indian politician and the former union minister of shipping in Vajapeyee government in India from 2001-2003. He is currently treasurer of Bharatiya Janata Party. He is a member of Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Parliament of India.

He was born in 1926 in Karnal in Haryana and passed B.Sc. (Engg.). He was educated at Dayanand Anglo Vedic College, Lahore and Banaras Hindu University.

He is former Chairman of Pradeep Metals Ltd., Mumbai and has been associated with Janakalyan Sahakari Bank Ltd., Mumbai and Maharashtra State Financial Corporation.

His wife Chandrakanta Goyal has been a member of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.
