Talk:Vectorman
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
As you may be able to tell from my username, I am a fan of Vectorman. Not so much the game, as the coolness of the character. Anyway, I'm posting because I have my doubts about the release date listed for this game. I have several promotional items which all say "V-Day October 24th." I honestly wasn't around when this game came out, so I can't verify off of personal experience if it did come out on the date the promotional materials say. Also, gamefaqs.com has the european release date as 11/30/05. Considering Blue Sky was US based and most games are released earlier Stateside, I would assume that this corroborates the October Release date.
I'm sort of new to editing wiki's so I'm not sure if I will go ahead and try to edit it myself yet.

--VC Release-- It has not been released on the virtual console in North America someone Please Change this mistkae
- It has not been scheduled for release later this year, either, as far as I know. No one knows when it's coming to the North American VC. If someone knows otherwise, a citation should be included. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.177.46.11 (talk) 13:14, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Pointless
Why to tell about not including Street of Rage-series and Bonanza Bros in Sonic Gems Collection? This info has nothing to do with either of Vectorman-games.
I removed it.
[edit] Vectorman Contest
Wasn't there a vectorman contest where those with the right cartridges who beat the game got a phone number and won some big money prize?66.63.101.247 06:39, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
Yes. There was ONE special cartridge where upon beating the game you saw a special screen indetifying you as the winner of the $25,000 prize. It says so right on the front of the box.--205.250.222.77 20:29, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
there was apparently a design contest for VM2: when you boot up VM2 it mentions some guy winning a design contest for a custom morph design. 151.196.130.5 19:00, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Vectorman1box.jpg
Image:Vectorman1box.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Vectorman film?
I was looking through an old issue of GamePro and noticed that they were planning on releasing a Vectorman film back in 1997. I looked online to try and find some more info, but all I found was this. I can mention it in the article, citing the magazine, if anyone wants me to. ~ Hibana 17:41, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
You shouldn't. There's not enough information there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by NeonLegend (talk • contribs) 02:00, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
