Vazhithala is a place in Idukky. It is a town developed recently. Santhigiri College of Computer science.

Vazhithala is a small town in the district of Idukki, in the Kerala, India. The town is situated between Thodupuzha and Koothattukulam and the main connecting road between th towns of Thodupuzha and Koothattukulam run through Vazhithala. One can find this road busy with a lot of bus running through the town. vazhithala has a Senior Secondary School, St. Sebastins Senior Secondary School, St Antoneys LP School and the Shanthigiri Institute run by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate or CMI are the some of the institutions providing education and training to the children and youth around the town. There and many professionals who started their study at these institutions. Mercy Hospital and Mary Matha Hospital take care of the health of the people of these area.

The town of Vazhithala is the boundary of Manakkadu and Purapuzha Panchayaths, self governing local civil units. Kolady, Poothakav, Purapuzha, Marika are some of the near by villages. The people of the area come to this small town to buy necessary items for every day life and to meet and chat with th epeople. The people live in harmony and in peace between religions and caste. The life of the people of these area reflects the typical village life, friendliness and hard work of Kerala people and observing it will give a good insight into ideal village life and happiness. People know each other and converse with every one they meet on the was, in th etown of Vazhithala and an example of ideal village life.

Since 1986 Zico Sports and arts club is situated in the center of the town. In every onam days this club conduct beautiful tourism attracted programs .Mr. K L Thomas erumelikara is the one of the main Co-ordinator of all of the great programs and he was the president of the club for the first 18 years and again he came back on its Silver Jubilee days .
