Vaughn Lal (born 3 February 1978 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is the bassist and backing vocalist for Heavy metal band Brown Brigade. He was recruited by his cousin Dave Baksh after the latter exited Sum 41. Vaughn left his hard rock band RPO in order to join Dave in Brown Brigade. Brown Brigade's debut studio album Into the Mouth of Badd(d)ness was released September 18, 2007 and received mostly positive reviews, although released only in Canada.

Lal's parents, Ingrahm and Jemina Lal, who is of Indo-Guyanese origin, emigrated from Guyana to Canada before Vaughn was born. He is the second born, preceded by brother Stefan.
Lal enjoys listening to such artists as Metallica, Anthrax, Guns N' Roses, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Michael Jackson, Twisted Sister, Van Halen, Rage Against the Machine, and various Reggae acts.
