Vatne, Møre og Romsdal

Vatne is a village and former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway.
The municipality was created by a split from Skodje on 1 January 1902. At that time Vatne had a population of 1,547.
On 1 January 1965 the island Dryna and the area on Midøya, with 334 inhabitants, were merged with Sør-Aukra to create the new municipality Midsund. The rest of Vatne, with 2,260 inhabitants, was incorporated into Haram. [1]
The village Vatne has a population of 1,636 [2].
