Vasudevan Baskaran (born August 17, 1950) is a former field hockey player from India. He captained the Indian team, which won the gold medal at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, Soviet Union. He was awarded the Arjuna Award for (1979–1980). Baskaran coached the Indian National Team after his active career several times, the last time at the 2006 Men's Hockey World Cup in Mönchengladbach, where India finished in a disappointing eleventh place.
