Vasanth Nagar is an upscale residential colony located in Hyderabad, India, with well over 10,000 residents. It is divided into 2 large sectors I,II - I has approximately 1000 independently built homes. This neighbourhood is very close to HITEC City. This colony is surrounded by scenic mountains - often referred as "Vasanth Nagar Hills". It is, also, surrounded by a national highway and KPHB Colony.

The current commercial hub of Vasanth Nagar is the adjoining HITEC City. HITEC City played major part in the development of Vasanth Nagar as most of the people living in this neighbourhood are software employees.

Majority of the people living in Vasanth Nagar are highly paid software professionals. Most of them are either directly or indirectly related to the software industry.

There are famous hospitals and laboratories in and around Vasanth Nagar. This place can also be called as the Entertainment district as there are around 10 movie theatres within a radius of 1 km. People in this area go out a lot and watch movies, this place has numerous shopping malls within a radius of 5km.

Many film and TV shootings take place in this colony because of the scenic mountains, nice location and beautiful houses. According to rumours, a scene from a Hollywood movie is being filmed in and around this place (other details of this movie are still awaited).
