Vasant Sabnis, (December 6, 1923 - 2002), was a Marathi writer famous for comic writtings. He wrote scripts for some of the biggest block buster hits of marathi cinema including Soungadya and Ekta jeev sadashiv

Vasant Sabnis's completed his schooling in Pandharpur, Maharastra and college in Pune. He took up a government job in public relations department afterwards.
