Vasant Prabhu (1922? - 1968) was a music composer from Maharashtra.
Prabhu was a dance teacher. He first made his mark in late 1940s. Lata Mangeshkar's famous song 'ganga yamuna dolyaat ubhya kaa' was composed by him. In no time at all, song-writer Patil Savlaram, Prabhu and Lata formed a famous association in Indian music. Vasant Prabhu also composed several songs for Asha Bhosle.
