[edit] United States Merchant Marine

Thanks for your edits to the article United States Merchant Marine. I made some minor changes to your section on Wipers and it fits in with the rest of the article quite nicely. The movie section is going to need to be hammered on to bring it up to snuff. I gave it a quick tune-up, but it still needs a lot of work. Sections like this tend to attract flack if they're not referenced and not more complete.

Finally, there's the "Belated thank you... write your congressmen" section. I'm personally sympathetic to the message, but Wikipedia just doesn't work that way. There's a trick: if someone could add cited material from respectable sources about activism to push for the bill, that could survive. But a direct appeal to "write your congressmen" wouldn't have lasted the day anyway, and it seemed best for me to remove it.

I'll keep an eye on your talk page to help you get started if you like. Cheers. HausTalk 10:23, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
