Varya Rajputs

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Varya Rajputs (also spelt Waria, Baria, Warah) are a Suryavanshi Rajput tribe of Punjab. They are known in Pakistan as Rana Rajput.

The Varyas claim to be descended from Raja Karan of the Mahabharata epic.[1]

The Majority of the tribe is settled in Jullundar, Patiala and Nabha, with some villages also in Lahore.
