Varuni

Varuni or Varunani is the female consort of Varuna and the goddess of wine and intoxication in Hindu mythology. She is a secret form of Vajravarahi and represents the purifying nectar of immortality (amrita). She is "the agent of transcendent wisdom" and by drinking the transformed alcohol, the initiate is prepared to begin his meditations.
