Varteg

Varteg (Welsh: Farteg or Y Farteg) is a place in the county borough of Torfaen in South Wales.
It lies near Abersychan on the hills above the valley of the Afon Llwyd, between Pontypool and Blaenavon.
Varteg has the only Welsh primary school in Torfaen. Called Ysgol Bryn Onnen. It also has a cemetery which dates back to the 18th century.
