Varsity is an American all-girl R&B music group, founded on September 22nd in 2007.

"varsity got you singing that la-lala"
September 22 will always be a day to remember for these four young ladies. This day was the day that they joined together and became one of the most powerful aspiring girl groups in the world, Varsity. "Its crazy to me. Coming from a solo environment to becoming something so big with three other people," Ronieshea explains. "but, I really can't complain. Everything is good, its all fun and whatnot. I think simply because we are all doing this together and its all something we want as a whole, it makes it even more fun. I'm open to new things, and that what makes this such a wonderful situation." She adds. "Oh, but please don't get it confused. Like Icey said, we all love to have fun but when its time to work its time to work. Not if's, and's, or but's about it." Chelsey says seriously. All girls nod their heads in agreement.
The road to success has always been known to be complicated, but how complicated?
"Oh yes, we have had our fair share of problems here and there. From the mysterious "Myspace Mystery", to coming up with lyrics and working with the harmonies and stuff like that. But, its cool. The road to success is hard, but by it being so many of us . . someone is bound to see humor in the situation. And what they laugh at might rub off on the next person and so on. But, there are also times when we're all sad [which is rare] but, we all help each other in those difficult situations." Nique explains.
Every member is different, yet so similar. What makes you stand out from the rest?
"Well, I personally think that everyone has something unique that they bring to the table. Myself, I bring the jokes and the true fun, along with Nique. Chels, uh . . she brings the calmness. Icey, she's like the calm before the storm. She is the more serious one of all of us. Its like, she looks at everything from a business perspective, but also jokes around alot. Its just really fun. We all like to have fun and we enjoy being around each other and making music in general." Alex says. "Why I gotta be the serious one? Why cant I be the goofy one or something, dang." Ronieshea says jokingly. All girls laugh.
What makes Varsity stand out from other female groups?
"Okay, I'll answer this one," Nique starts. "I think we stand out because of our harmony, it's something that is rare to find. Each member has a unique tone, well . . those who do sing. And secondly, the way our personalities clash together makes it even better. We have a family type bond, even though we arent family. I love these girls to death, if they need help they know they can count on me and I know that I can count on them. If people don't like us then oh well, everyone is intitled to their opinions. But, either way it goes Varsity is here to stay. Either you love us or you don't. Simple as that." Nique ends the statement powerfully.
Either you love us, our you love us not. Varsity will still be Varsity.
