"It has been suggested" is weasel wording. I don't doubt that someone has made the suggestion, but does the suggestion come from a sufficiently important source to be noteworthy? Mrhsj 15:26, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

Agree, because in the front of the Lord of the Rings, Tolkien explicitly says that he didn't model Middle-earth or anything else in LOTR-world on real life, nor did he use any form of allegory (this is mentioned in the Lord of the Rings article, search for "allegory" to find the relevant paragraph). Doubt it – Tolkien was interested in Germanic languages, not Middle Eastern history. See the Influences section in the Tolkien article for where he got ideas for these names from.124.148.49.98 01:47, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
