Vanuatu is planning on sending a team to compete at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. Table Tennis player Priscilla Tommy will be the country's flagbearer during the opening ceremony.[1]

Moses Kamut and Elise Lapenmal, who both won silver medals at the South Pacific Mini Games, qualified as "wildcard entries" to represent Vanuatu in the in the 100 metres event.[2]

Priscilla Tommy received a Tripartite Commission invitation to compete at the Women's Individual Tournament.[3]
