Vaniyamkulam

Vaniyamkulam is an important trading hub of southern Malabar in Kerala, India. Particularly of live stock arriving from Tamil Nadu. It has sizable population of Tamil speaking people. The weekly market on Thursdays used to attract traders and shoppers from far and wide.

The town has a population of nearly one hundred thousand. It is connected by road with other important towns in the region, namely Ottapalam and Shoranur. The nearest railway station is at Mannanur, situated on the banks of the Bharathapuzha River, the longest and most important river of Kerala.

TRKHSS is one of the best higher secondary schools in Palakkad District if not in Kerala as a whole.
