[edit] Biography

Vanaheim was formed in Bærum in the mid 90s of several local band members from the area. The band had a unique way of playing, with a mix of epic, medieval, fantasy, death, black and dark doom metal. The lyrics are about epic fantasy stories and medieval tales.

Their first (En Historie) demo was only sent to a few companies, but they never got any record deal. A year later they released Helter og Kongers Fall which was promoted all over the world and received good critics. In 1999 the band dissolved due to several projects including Frostmoon, Susperia and Ringnevond. Vanaheim is now distributed and promoted by Dawn of Sadness.
