Van Buren High School (Arkansas)

Van Buren High School is a public high school in Van Buren, Arkansas. The school currently undergoing a major development project planned to be finished by 2009. The project will add a number of new classrooms, a new basketball court, and a new performing arts center. Their mascot is the Pointer (hunting dog), and their school colors are green and white. They are currently a 7-A school in the status of the Arkansas Athletics Association, offering many competitive sports, including cross country football, basketball, baseball, track, softball, volleyball, tennis, golf, soccer, cheer, and dance. Other extracurricular activities include a journalism department (consisting of the Newspaper and Yearbook Staffs), marching band, choir, and drama.

The Van Buren High School Pointers are well known throughout Arkansas, as they have won numerous titles as the State Marching Band Champions, the 2006 State Soccer Champions, and the 1996 State Football Champions.
