This template is intended for use on anonymous user talkpages where there is a recurring history of vandalism. This provides a place for respected members of the community to record their findings when reviewing the edit history of the vandal. It enables a more complete presentation of the edits coming from the anonymous IP address and can help to differentiate between those IPs that are solely or mostly vandals and those IPs that are truly used by a mix of good and bad users. I've been adding it by hand to a number of vandal talkpages and the process seems to be working. Seemed like time to test out a template.

By the way, the self-referential link hidden in the last period was a trick we used to use for any template that would be substituted into pages so that future users could find and use or update the template. If there is now a better way to do that, please correct the template. Rossami (talk) 06:50, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
