[edit] Billingsley National Championships

I was about to write:

The Billingsley Report retroactively named Vanderbilt national champions for 1906 and 1911, with an 8-1 record each year.

But Billingsley's site lists different winners than other sites including ncaa.org. What gives? - PhilipR 22:08, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Table on recent wins over SEC opponents

I deleted the table of recent wins over SEC opponents in favor of an expanded section on the overall wins and losses of the Vanderbilt program. This probably presents a more NPOV for the article (i.e., less "look how pitiful Vanderbilt is"). I admit I'm a Vandy alum/booster, but nonetheless, I think a neutral person would agree that no other SEC school has such a table (and the overall record indicates Vanderbilt's general weakness from the 1950-2000 period). Yes, you're probably right about the POV. Certainly no other SEC program has such a table and it's not expected. I put it in because I find that info interesting (as a VU fan) but it could probably be presented in a more theoretically objective way, like a color-coded table for each series or something. That way when we go 10-2 the next dozen seasons, we don't have to worry about it losing meaning. Cheers, PhilipR a/k/a PhilipVU94 08:29, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Year By Year Records

I added the year by year records table with the data coming from the VU media guide. I'm not sure if it belongs where it is now, in its own section, or somewhere else. Someone with more "wiki knowledge" can probably find its correct home. Wpride33 16:58, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
