[edit] Once
Wasn't "Once" the fourth single? I know it was at least the fourth video (Internet-only), directed by David Bertinelli.

[edit] Unrelated question
This might be a seemingly unrelated question, but does anyone know where the cover art is from? I've seen random footage of a similar man being hit with a cannonball, but I've never been able to find out who, when, or why he was hit with a cannonball. I'm assuming it was a circus feat, or if I can rely on The Simpsons, it might have been entertainment during some rock concert. ArgentiumOutlaw 14:48, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
- All I know is that Alex Van Halen supposedly found it funny, so he picked it as their album cover. It's black and white (and I've seen a video clip of it on tv before), so it's probably an old circus thing (I guess?). Armslurp 20:36, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] EVH lead vocals
"How Many Say I", was an unusual acoustic piano ballad featuring guitarist Eddie Van Halen (mostly) on lead vocals. Eddie had previously only sung lead on "Crossing Over"
What about EVH's 'lead' vocals on "Me Wise Magic" and "Humans Being" off Best Of: Volume I? It was released before Van Halen III.
- You mean where he sings "Humans ... humans being" in the background while waiting for Sammy to jump in ("That's what makes us ...")? That would count as background vocals, IMO. But on "How Many Say I", he sings almost the entire thing, including the chorus. I dunno what part of "Me Wise Magic" you are referring to. Armslurp 19:06, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Guitarist
Who is this Matthew Bruck, supposedly contributing guitar to the album? What is the source for this? Mangobanan 22:59, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- Wasn't he Eddie's guitar tech?? Armslurp 22:54, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Track Listing
Stated as: all songs by Anthony, Hagar, Roth, Van Halen and Van Halen
Can anyone with the liner notes verify whether Hagar or Roth had any involvement with any of the songs?
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Van Halen - Van Halen III.jpg
Image:Van Halen - Van Halen III.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
