[edit] Automation?
In the future, we may consider proposing a bot that automatically post archive messages here. Just do it manually for now though. AQu01rius (User • Talk) 18:21, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Purpose
Is/was it the intention that the "showcase" article would replace or supplant the Wikipedia:WikiProject Vancouver/COTM? I doubt it was, as they are really two different things and I can find no discussion on the point. I only ask because VCOTM seems to be pretty dead. Agent 86 04:49, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- No, the showcase article was designed to display high quality articles with in the scope of the WikiProject Vancouver. The Collaboration of the Month was designed to improve the quality of a single article by directing the WikiProject's efforts. However, since the Collaboration of the Month became inactive as well as most of the WikiProject, the Five Point Plan was introduced. It has since reorganized the WikiProject, expanded it, seen the article Vancouver promoted to featured status, the Portal:Vancouver promoted to featured status, as well as an overall improvement to templates and organization. I hope this answers your question. 05:23, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- If the COTM is effectively inactive, ought it be tagged with the {{historical}} template (as has recently occurred at the Wikipedia:Canada collaboration)? Agent 86 08:25, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
