Just before the album leaked onto the internet Devin Townsend posted the story behind the record on his internet forums. This is what he wrote about 'Vampolka'
"Vampolka - a polka prelude to Vampira to essentially lighten the mood after the baby song and set the stage for the transition song on the record, Vampira."
