[edit] Merging & fixing of Vampire: The Masquerade pages
I am going to attempt to rewrite & merge articles that should be put together like I did tonight with Frenzy. I think other articles should be created like "Kindred Law" or "Laws of Camarilla" and have items such as "The Masquerade", "Blood Hunt" & such merged together.
I will not have Internet access beginning next week until June so there is not a lot I can do, and my knowledge concerning somethings isn't great (Clan Lasombra for instance). I do believe that the Vampire pages need work, but that they should not be constantly be nominated for deletion until effort has been made to edit & fix them.Noremon (talk) 08:55, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Weaknesses
Eh, the weaknesses section is accurate for Masquerade, but unless my memory decieves me, doesn't silver hurt nWoD vamps? Just a thought. 129.237.90.24 23:42, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
- Only thing I can find about weaknesses to silver is the passage about werewolves (page 205 in the core book): "Are (werewolves) really vunerable to silver, or is that just a myth on par with the Kindred's own false vulnerability to garlic or runnging water?" So I'd say no, nWoD vamps are okay with silver. Deafgeek 15:58, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Requiem Split
I think that combining Requiem and Masquerade vampires into one page is too confusing. We should split the pages (and the sidebar). 208.54.95.1 21:51, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Article merge
The article Glocanda was decided to be merged with this one following an AfD. [1] -- The Placebo Effect (talk) 15:55, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] 1st generation
under "Origins" it says the 13th generation thirteen steps removed from Caine, this would make the Second Generation two steps removed and Caine one step removed from Caine? I don't know oWoD but I think this needs fixed or explained. I haven't made the edit as I don't know how it should read. 172.206.253.32 (talk) 20:18, 28 March 2008 (UTC)Andrew
- I've corrected it to twelve steps (could cite the V:tM 1st edition or whatever as a source since I have various books on my shelf, but I didn't actually open any of them). Calling it the "standard" generation isn't very informative, though, and I haven't tried to improve that. The situation is that unless a player decides otherwise when creating a character, it will be 13th generation. But deciding otherwise is in no sense unusual or "non-standard": 13th generation is only the starting point because it's the worst you can be according to the rules in the main books. Could maybe say "typical characters in the game are in the range from 8th to 13th generation". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.110.38.160 (talk) 01:31, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
