Vallikunnu is a small village in the Malappuram district of Kerala, south India with an area of 25 km2. It is near to the coastal area, where the Kadalundi river joins the sea. It's latitude and longitude are 11'07" N and 7'51"E respectively . It has got the first best Panchayat award in the year 1997. Main occupation is agriculture, but fairly good commercial facilities are available in the village itself.
Vallikunnu beach and the Kadalundi Bird sanctuary are some of the tourist attractions in Vallikunnu. The Pooram held at Niramkitha Kotta Bhagavati temple during a day between February and April also draws considerable crowd.
