[edit] Mission Statement
Valley Oak Middle School is committed to providing its seventh and eighth grade students a quality educational experience. Our instructors understand that the middle school child is a unique and evolving individual who needs support, structure, challenge and positive reassurance.
Valley Oak believes that its diverse population needs to continue to work and grow together. To promote student achievement and good citizenship, Valley Oak provides opportunities for students to be recognized. A spirit of community is fostered through academic teaming and articulation.
School instruction focuses on a fair and timely assessment of student progress through the state content standards and district adopted curriculum. Instruction meets the needs of all students, including English language learners, gifted and talented, special education, grade level, and below grade-level students. Activity-based experiences are incorporated throughout the different content areas. Ongoing student achievement is emphasized in a variety of teacher, District and state evaluation tools.
