Valley Glen, Los Angeles, California

Valley Glen is a community in the southeastern portion of the San Fernando Valley district of the City of Los Angeles, California, United States. It is home to Los Angeles Valley College, Grant High School, and The Great Wall of Los Angeles, a half mile-long mural painted on one of the concrete sides of the Tujunga Wash portraying the history of California from the perspective of women and people of color. Until 1998, the area was simply considered a part of Van Nuys, with the eastern section being a part of North Hollywood.

Valley Glen is characterized by a Mediterranean climate. It is a coastal sage scrub community. The birds living in Valley Glen include Northern Mockingbirds, House Finches, Western Kingbirds,Black Phoebes and many hummingbirds.
