Valley City is a village in Pike County, Illinois, United States. The population was 14 at the 2000 census.

Valley City is located at 39°42′22″N, 90°39′13″W (39.705990, -90.653656).[1]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.5 km²), of which, 0.2 square miles (0.5 km²) of it is land and 4.76% is water.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 14 people, 4 households, and 3 families residing in the village. The population density was 71.5 people per square mile (27.0/km²). There were 7 housing units at an average density of 35.7/sq mi (13.5/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 100.00% White.

There were 4 households out of which 25.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.0% were married couples living together, and 25.0% were non-families. 25.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 25.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.50 and the average family size was 4.00.

In the village the population was spread out with 14.3% under the age of 18, 35.7% from 18 to 24, 21.4% from 25 to 44, 21.4% from 45 to 64, and 7.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 32 years. For every 100 females there were 75.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 71.4 males.
