Valkeakoski

Valkeakoski (lit. white rapids) is a town and municipality of Finland.
Valkeakoski is located 35 km south from Tampere, 150 km north from Helsinki in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Pirkanmaa region. The municipality has a population of 20,472 (2004) and covers an area of 371.72 km2 of which 98.76 km² is water. The population density is 75.0 inhabitants per km².
The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
Valkeakoski is best known for its paper industry and domestically highly successful football team, FC Haka.
