Valerio Capello, also known as Elf Qrin, is known in the hacker community for his contributions to many magazines and e-zines of such scene.
He contributed to NewOrder [1], 2600: The Hacker Quarterly [2] (including the Italian translation for the DVD version of Freedom Downtime, a documentary about the imprisonment of Kevin Mitnick), the Italian e-zine Butchered From Inside of the S0ftpj group.
He also wrote some articles for computer magazines since the '80s, and gave some directions for technical articles on the top Italian newspaper La Repubblica [3]. His first article appeared on the Italian computer magazine Commodore Computer Club.
Many of his works denote a passion for hacking history and culture, notably Being a Hacker, written in 1999, an interview with Loyd Blankenship (The Mentor) [4] e The definitive guide to Phreak Boxes, published on 2600: The Hacker Quarterly (Spring 2002 issue) and linked from the Jargon File by its editor Eric S. Raymond.

Valerio Capello has a passion for travels, especially for places far from classic tourist routes.
In the first half of the '90s, during the Bosnian war, he served as a volunteer in several refugee camps in Croatia.
In 1996 he lived for one year in Argentina, in a shelter for kids, which visited again during the next years.
