Valerie Landsburg (born August 12, 1958 in New York City, New York) is an American film and television actress, director, and singer-songwriter, who first achieved fame in 1978 with her role in the Disco movie Thank God It's Friday. But she is probably best known for her role as Doris Schwartz in the 1982 Fame TV series. She stood with the show for the first four seasons. Shortly after Valerie left the show she co-started in two different comedy TV-series, which practically ran at the same time. The first, You Again?, stared Jack Klugman, and lasted for one season, (02/27/86 - 03/30/87). The second series was All Is Forgiven, (03/20/86 - 06/12/86). But the show was cancelled after just 9 episodes.
Outside of doing recurring roles in Hotel (TV series) and Dream On she didn't star in another TV-series and appeared in about a dozen made-for-TV movies and guest appearances on other TV-series including Murder She Wrote, Beverly Hills 90210, Empty Nest, Nip/Tuck and The Unit among others. In between TV and film projects she has appeared on stage plays.
She is the life member of International Film And Television Club of Asian Academy Of Film & Television,Film City,Noida.
