Valentino Lai (born February 3, 1982 in Cagliari) is a Swedish footballer of Italian descent. Born in Cagliari, he started his career playing for FBK Balkan at the youth level, and then Malmö FF.[1] In 2001, he moved to Italy playing for Venezia, where he made his Serie A debut. In 2002, he moved to Palermo, appearing just in one Serie B match. After two loan spells at the Serie B level, in Salernitana and Triestina, in June 2005 Lai decided to return in Sweden by signing a 2-years contract for Landskrona BoIS, now playing in Superettan. He is now representing the Danish club Vejle Boldklub.
He also represented Sweden at the Under-21 level.
