Valapattanam River

Valapattanam River is a the largest river in the Kannur area in the Indian state of Kerala. Valapattam town is located on its banks. The famous Muthappan temple is also on the bank of the river.
Kannur District Tourism Council has launched a `Nadi Darshan' (river viewing) programme in association with a private resort at Kattampalli as much as an initiative to popularise the kettuvallam for tourism promotion as also an effort to make people know more about Valapattanam River, the life stream of the district.[1]
