Nathan(Nate)Valler was born August 5th 1988 in Bronson Hospital, Kalamazoo MI.

In High School, Nate took woodshop 5 hours of the 7 class hours. He was big in power training, and placed 2nd in the annual car push competition. In the 10th Grade, he went back to playing football on Portage Northers JV Football Team after not playing football in 3 years. He played Middle Linebacker, Offensive Line, and Special Teams. In the first game against Dowagiac, he had 4 Tackles on kick off, 1 fumble recovory, and ran an off ballanced play, giving him the nickname, 'Uncommon Valler'. That season they went 5-2-1. When the next season came around, he decided to go down to play on JV again due to more playing time. The team was not as sucsessful as his past team, they had a record of 2-7. Nate started at Center in the final 2 games, and those 2 games where the only 2 they won. The following season, his seinor year, his coach, Matt Kamm, had Nate learn every play for all 5 positions on the offensive line. He still played middle linebacker but was focusing on offensive line. That season, on August 18th, 2005, in a scrimage he tore is meniscus and mcl in his right knee. After being told by his doctor not to play the rest of the season, he refused and continued the season. They finished 7-2. And lost in the first round of the playoffs.
