Talk:Valve Sound System

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I see 'an editor' has not bothered to explain what is unencyclopedic about an entry on one of the most famous 'sound systems' in the world. If an opera hall is worthy of encycloped mention, than this sound system, the 'opera hall' of drum & bass music is worthy of mention.

It is not an advertisement even though it is enthusiastic. --217.153.176.154 14:24, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

It may not have been intended as an advertisement, but it's still extremely POV and addy. For example: "...embarked on a tour of the UK, leaving only devastation in its path. Cities and towns left in awe...". Are we describing a sound system or a hurricane here? --Geniac 20:16, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

Agree, needs rewriting with too many adjectives and overenthusiasm but should not be a candidate for deletion. --Dustek 10:35, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

Performed a cleanup. --Dustek 10:45, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

I have unlinked the King Tubby mention as it pointed to the Jamaican producer (who also owned a soundsystem) rather than the South-London based King Tubby soundsystem that I suspect the article is referring to... John Eden 15:57, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Change of name

I have changed the name to read "Walve sound system" because I wanted to. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 172.141.199.246 (talk) 01:29, 29 January 2007 (UTC).

It now reads "Spralve sound system."
