Talk:Valle de la Luna (Chile)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

My second visit to La Valle de la Luna in 2002 was probably one of the saddest days of my life. On my first visit in 1992 there was no footprint more than 10 metres from the road,(which was blocked by sand at the San Pedro end) and the valley was probably as it had been for millenia. Now it is a maze of footpaths and 4 wheel drive tracks and, to my mind, completely ruined. When will we learn how fragile such places are and just go and look at them rather than leaving our great gallumphing footprints all over it. They should have left the road blocked and put a barbed wire fence either side of the road - but too lateMafestel (talk) 16:16, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
